We loved the beach access, snorkeling right off shore, looking for crabs and fishing. Enjoyed the close proximity to every convenience while not being right on top of the resort area. There isnt beach chair access as described so make sure to bring your own and an umbrella, the ones on the beach are for the resort by the harbor. The location was great for beach access and snorkeling. The condo was a decent size for my husband and I & our three children. It was close enough to the pool to enjoy it but far away enough that we weren't kept awake by the activities of others at the pool in the evening. A few con's are the front walk way to the front door is slanted down and feels a little unnerving walking 3 stories up with a sloping walkway. The interior of the condo was dated and furniture well used but all in working order. We loved staying there! The price point was great the view were fantastic. The views are unimaginable and the unit we stayed in was very clean. The decor was a little dated and could use an update, but it didn't stop us from enjoying our time there. Some minor things in the unit; the left side of the stove doesn't work, the dishwasher was loose and would fall forward, and the sink and bathtub were slow to drain. The pool is located right on the beach/bay. You are within walking distance to the East Jetty beach where there is great snorkeling. Emerald Bay does put up umbrellas that you cannot rent and must not set up near their spots but there is still area to set up past them. The ocean side is also within walking distance. The unit could use some updating but its very comfortable and the location makes up for it. There are only 3o units sharing a pool so that is really a nice thing. The pool was never really crowded. There are BBQ grills with tables right off the beach by the pool you can use also. There is not a blow dryer so make sure you bring one if you have long hair like me and plan to be wet a lot. Ha! All in all it's a great unit with a great location and I would stay there again. May 5, 2021 - Airbnb Review by Garrett We had a really great stay! The condo was pretty accurate to the pictures. You can log into Netflix (and other streaming services) on the TV, and dishes and kitchen utensils are provided. The oven is a bit confusing, but it does work! The pullout mattress was very thin, and the twin mattresses were fairly hard. The bathroom in the hallway was quite small. The host had a welcome basket with detergent, softener, sponge, dish soap etc. It was great as I was able to wash all the beach towels. You can even watch the fireworks from your front balcony. The listing says the beach is steps from the location, which it is. However, it is a pretty good distance from the condo to the actual inlet water. We did not realize that this location was not on the gulf and was instead on the inlet. It was a mile walk to the Gulf. The house itself was clean. A short walk off the stairs to the beach, we were able to step out into the sand day and night with ease! This condo set dead in the center of Destin, and the surrounding community was gorgeous, quite, and gave us a "at home" relaxed feeling! The beach house had more than we expected to assist us through the trip, and was very roomy! Although we did not need to contact anyone through our 6 day stay because the instructions were very informative, I had no doubt that if we needed to, Edgar would have been reachable at any time. It worked fine for our family of four but would probably be a stretch for any groups larger than that. We had a couple of minor issues upon arrival but our property manager Edger was very quick to rectify those issues and very thorough and following up to guarantee your satisfaction. Our only real complaint with the unit is that the walls appear to be paperthin. We were awakened in the middle of the night multiple nights by noises and conversations from our neighboring units. other than that it provided the relaxing week at the beach that we were looking for. So beautiful, water is goreous and we ALWAYS see dolphins! At Poolside it is so comfortable just like home away from home. If we dont go to some of our favorite resturants with the best grouper ever! Then we will have a late day at the beach and come back and use the nice gas grills, then we will either swim late or go back to the condo and watch a movie provided by skyrun or their is a 42" smart TV and watch something on our netflix's.
